About Lee and Browne Consulting Engineers, Inc.
Lee and Browne provides engineering services throughout Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas. Since 1977, our company has specialized in the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems used to operate buildings. And, for 40 years, nearly all of our business is generated by word-of-mouth referrals.
That’s right. Because of our good reputation, both architecture firms and owners contact us to design systems for new construction and remodeling projects. After job completion, customers typically continue using our consultation services for ongoing maintenance issues, continued expansions and so on for years to come.

Healthcare
Lee and Browne works in all sizes of medical facilities–psychiatric centers, surgical centers, and full-service hospitals–with clients all over Oklahoma from Sallisaw to Shattuck and McAlester to Ponca City. We have designed new or renovation spaces for every department multiple times within local healthcare and outpatient facilities. Lee and Browne has experience in applying code requirements to these spaces such as The Facilities Guidelines Institute (FGI), NFPA 99, NFPA 110, IBC, National Electric Code Article 517, and ASHRAE 170. We provide documentation for conventional or self-certification construction review processes required by the Oklahoma State Health Department.
Corporate
Lee and Browne works directly with corporate clients as well as with architects. Our firm helps develop long-term growth strategies for their systems and, more importantly, reliable and functional improvements for existing facilities.
For example, planning for reliability may include designing dual redundant UPSs to replace a single UPS system, modifying and expanding a generator system’s capacity, chiller and/or boiler system.
HOSPITALITY
Lee and Browne partners with our casino clients to keep the business buzzing around the clock. For the casino industry, reliable service is key to happy customers. Since 2012, Lee and Browne is the on-call engineering firm for all electrical/mechanical work at River Spirit Casino and all Muscogee Creek Nation Casinos.
Resort facilities are constantly being modified to better serve their customers and optimize MEP systems. As the facility improves and remodels, Lee and Browne is the firm of choice.
Education
Lee and Browne is the partner of choice for many higher educational clients when constructing new remodeling state-of-the-art facilities. Featured here are new construction facilities using Lee and Browne for their MEP design needs: the Tulsa Technology Center Lemley Campus phase 2 and 3 buildings and the OSU Center for Health Sciences Tandy and North Hall buildings.

Disaster Assistance
Disaster Relief
Longstanding relationships with clients means that we are there for their best and worst days. The dramatic example shown was May / June 2019 during flooding of the Arkansas River.
With flood water rising, Lee and Browne helped prepare by directing disassembly and elevating expensive and long lead-time equipment and moving it safely off-site away from floodwater. Water crested over a foot deep in the main electrical rooms. Millions of dollars worth of equipment and weeks of manufacturer leadtimes were saved by this quick decision making.
When floodwaters receded, we were back, directing the reassembling, cleaning, and testing equipment quickly and safely. We coordinated dozens of electricians, equipment suppliers, and factory service technicians around the clock. Power was restored to all areas within two weeks of water receding.
Special Services
Consulting Services
Lee and Browne has extensive experience serving in consulting roles beyond project design. Our firm has experience operating as a third-party owner’s representative or inspector for MEP systems during large-scale construction projects. We also have experience working with facilities staff and local trades to coordinate outages for maintenance, collect field data for evaluation of future expansion, or implement temporary solutions.
We have experience working with private clients and government entities who have complex security requirements. Many of our clients, especially in the telecommunication and data center sector, require non-disclosure agreements, background checks, and badging. Our team is experienced with these processes and can accommodate required security protocols.
Arc Flash Studies
Arc flash studies are a key part of a successful electrical safety program. With engagements for over 200 studies and updates, covering more than 7.6 million square fee, Lee and Browne has extensive experience with collecting field data, performing arc flash studies, and modeling complex power systems.
Our philosophy is that the engineer should be involved at all phases of the study process — from data collection on-site, through circuit-breaker adjustments, and installation of arc flash labels. We believe this produces more accurate studies and helps ensure that labeling and adjustment in the field are consistent with the study.
Your arc flash study should be updated every 5 years and as your facility evolves, with any major changes. Since building a model of your power system is a large portion of the study effort, we believe you should maintain ownership of the native files. This gives you a starting point any time the study is updated, which can save you thousands of dollars each time you have an update performed! In addition to the study results and any drawings and reports, we also provide native copies of the model we create for your study. This way you are not “locked in” with any given consultant or required to pay for repeat work during updates.
